Good For a Laugh
These are cartoons that made me laugh, sometimes in rueful recognition, about the pitfalls of facilitation, planning, and project management. I purchased the use of these cartoons from CompassPoint, a consulting group in California, located at: www.CompassPoint.com

A woman suggests a brainstorming session with staff. Big
Vision man appears followed by Itsy Bitsy Detail Woman. They
both disappear in a poof before Conflict Resolution Girl shows
up.

Starting from cave days, project management techniques are depicted using drawings, appointment books, and Post-It™ notes placed on computer monitors.

Three frames show the difference between "conflict redefinition," "surprise agreement," and "incomprehensible chart" maneuvers.

The strategic planners get lost in their own jargon.

CompassPoint has a subpage on its website, titled Planet 501c(3). This page is populated with cartoons and comic strips by Miriam Engelberg, a woman with a wicked understanding of people and processes in the nonprofit world matched with a talent for depicting these situations in a way that engages and entertains us. Planet 501c(3) is well worth a visit if you enjoy these cartoons.
